Attorney Profile
Attorney Lisa LeDoux Bruce was born and raised in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, and graduated with honors from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (currently University of Louisiana, Lafayette), in 1986. Prior to attending the University of Houston Law Center, Ms. Bruce was a high school English teacher in the Aldine Independent School District in the Houston area. She graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in 1991. During law school, Ms. Bruce was an active member of the Phi Delta Phi organization, and served for two years as an assistant teacher in the school’s legal writing program. She also completed clerkships with the United States District Court of the Southern District of Texas-Houston Division, Harris County District Courts, and Harris County District Attorney’s office. While in law school, Ms. Bruce also participated in various mock trial competitions.
Since beginning her practice, Ms. Bruce has accumulated extensive first-chair trial experience, and experience in appellate briefing and argument. She is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of Texas, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Texas and Northern District of Texas, and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Houston Bar Association, Defense Research Institute and Christian Trial Lawyers Association.
In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Bruce is proud to be a mom and the wife of a Texas high school football coach. She and her husband, Steve, have been married since 1993, and have three children.
